What's the difference between Bit-torrent and WinMx?

Bit Torrent does not require you to wait in a queue. The speeds are much faster for downloading. You have no choice but to upload as you are downloading. All you need to download to use BT is a BT Client and there are many to choose from. Then you find a BT Tracker, once again many to choose from, and download whatever you want. You can download anything from mp3's to full DVD's. File size doesn't matter. I have yet to download anything that was mislabeled or a virus. A much better and more reliable p2p network.

It's more advanced than WinMX. You have to find a tracker, which is a site that lists files that are available for download, and download a torrent file from the tracker. When you open the torrent file with your client, it will join the group of users with the file and your download/upload starts.

Also, it doesn't share the same way WinMX shares. You can't just leave a few thousand files shared for months at a time. It's better for large files where WinMX is better for small files.

BitTorrent is a great thing to use when you have the bandwidth.....
More to choose from on the Movie - Application - full album - and game side.

I have also never had a misrepresenting filename nor virus.
