In old times, when I used still used IE, I had POW to block popups (http://www.analogx.com/contents/downloa ... rk/pow.htm)
You symply have to select the annoying popup out of a list and it will never be seen again. And if you would like to, you can allways unblock it.
Since last year I use Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/download.html). And I like it very much! You can configure it the way you want => no popups, popunders, window resizes, homepage change, etc...
I especialy like the 'tabed browsing' (right-click, "open link in new tab")[/img]

yer mozilla firebird is well safe, since sir tuho reccomended it i aint used IE every now and again there is a page that mozilla cant view and i have to use IE but in the main its cool, built-in pop up blocker!!

I love the google blocker/toolbar. The only thing is when I play a game on something like pogo... you have to hit those keys at just the right time to allow the window to come up.

Euhmmm that mozilla firebird that you are talking about has been renamed to firefox over two month ago because they had problems with a open source group that also was called firebird. Firefox can be downloaded from here.

To get rid of popups you best go for a program like ad aware that will scan your computer and remove all suspecious files so it will become free of spyware, dataminers and most pop ups. It will make your computer run faster and helps you keep your privacy. It can be downloaded here.

To stay clean of them in the future watch what you click on while browsing ore use mozilla firefox. You can also go for the earlier described pop up blockers. They have two main flavours, MSN and Google. If you use google to search the web alot you definitly should go for the Google one. The MSN toolbar comes with a link to your hotmail inbox. Can be usefull but a normal bookmark also helps you out for that. Your choice.. You can try them both and they are easy to uninstall when needed. it has been changed you are right, but the versions known as firebird can still be download!! i am using firebird now and a sipmle search on google will find it
