Freenet gets $15K boost
p2pnet.net News:- Ian Clarke's Freenet Project has received a healthy boost that'll keep the rabbit hopping.
John Gilmore, a founder of the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), the Cypherpunks mailing list, and Cygnus Solutions, has donated $15,000 to the Freenet Project.
In April, Freenet released the first alpha version of Freenet 0.7, a new approach to anonymous peer-to-peer adopting a "scalable darknet" architecture, designed to offer a new level of privacy and security for those using the software, at the same time addressing other long-standing issues with Freenet.
