Cyber Charlatans & The Bird Flu Armageddon

Bird Flu has become the Golden-Goose for internet scammers.
According to global internet security group SurfControl, more than 60 birdflu & avianflu dot coms
were registered in a single day.
On-line pharmacy-type sellers are now pushing the antiviral drug Tamiflu more heavily than the usual Viagra products.
These scaremongering sites pose as government or scientific agencies before offering "recommended products".

The funny thing is, this avian flu is nothing to sneeze at and people should be worried about it. I have done a lot of reading on it and it has me scared. I just hope it doesn't become a pandemic like the Spanish flu in 1918.

I share your concern Grinch and have for some time. My greatest concern is
ease of transporting something (once the mutation process has taken place)
from country to country, continent to continent in hours via air travel.
The passengers wearing face-masks and temperature testing at airports
during the SARS outbreak is still fresh in my memory.

funny, my cultrual geography professor was talking about that...
they'r usually pretty good about getting vaccines right, with the exception of last year i think. I dont get the shot, though I should since im living in a college dorm...
