I use two programs for FTP downloading and uploading. Both have Windows Explorer style interfaces. I use two because I'm lazy. Each is set with a default server to connect to. Since I mostly FTP only with two servers, I have each program defaulted to one of the servers.

Crystal FTP Free 1.0 Beta Setup.exe
HASH>e3af70f72849a1b9670575c486bc49be-601214

Great program. I've been using it for years. I don't believe it's offered for free anymore. Doesn't really matter, I have the installer. I just uploaded it to OldVersion.Com. It will probably be a couple days till its listed.

SmartFTP

Another great program.

I mostly use FlashFXP.....

I have tried using another program for setting a server up: Serv-U v5

Not bad programs and I would recommend people try them

I use WS-FTP Pro and FlashFXP (and yeah, I really paid for them both) for normal use.
When I need to run a server I use GuildFTPd which is freeware and well supported in its homepage forums.
