i just went to download winmx, and it seems that the page a been updated a little - we havent been forgotten after all

Amazing, it also appears that they recently renewed their domain. It is a little worrying that they only renewed it for 8 months though:

erm, domain registrations are for a year at a time - they extended the registration last year until 2005 - and they did the same near then end of 2003 to extend it to 2004... i guess they are just playing it safe and not wanting to waste a years domain registration should the worst happen? i mean its not like a years domain registration is only a small fraction of their yearly running costs... lol

the last updated date of january though - i dont know exactly when the change happened but it was probably about then... it used to be under Frontcode Technologies now its under WinMX Technology Associates....

I hope that just means they took a slice of someones investment money and so formed a new company, otherwise we may be in trouble

but who would have an interest in keeping the winmx network running, there's only one group of people i can think of that would prefer winmx to stay as it is

I had a small theory about a takeover of winmx - but of course i wont say too much about which group i could think of that would want to keep winmx running but dont want it known that they are keeping it running... you can guess

Hmm , for now it seems , I better get myself a "Juniors, First Peer Network Kit " , wonder how much they cost ,and whether it works straight out of the box
