Cheaper DSL by FCC Ruling

Hmm, I cant see the reason behind this one, it takes away the choice of folks who wish to obtain DSL services without the additional cost burden of a phone line.

Maybe the committee members have shares in a few of the corporations that were voluntarily offering this service, and wanted to increase their return

Am I missing something here ? I thought the job of the Federal communications commision was to look after folks rights not to remove them.A deeply divided Federal Communications Commission suspended on Friday state rules forcing phone providers to offer "naked" DSL, in the commission's first serious look at the controversial issue.
