[WinMX] udp problem

yeah im having problems with logging onto winmx (v3.31) to a prmary connection when i have adsl 512/256 kb/s router is there any way of fixing this problem, i am the current computer administrator and is able of changing settings

If you are on a router you will need to set up port forwarding to allow UDP traffic. Check the user manual for your router on how to do this. If you are using a firewall you will have to allow it also usually by making a rule.

standard ports for winmx are as follows
6699 TCP
6257 UDP
if they dont work a good trick is to just add a 1 to the start of both
16699 TCP
16257 UDP
try them... but you must make sure that the ports in winmx match the ports in your router.
