3.53 crashes on me :(

i had 3.53 on my old comp and i just bought a brand new comp. i got the patch for the chat list and disconnecting problem but when it starts to load the chat rooms list it gets probably sum where around 500 before it says error and closes down??? Y does it do this?? i have never ever had this problem before!!!

What sort of error do you get? Does it ask to send something to the developers? (Like 'Send, Don't Send' type thing)
Have you tried using the new Beta versions? The problem may have been fixed, it can be downloaded
here

re-download the channel listing patch, i've updated it today to fix a problem with it crashing for a certain room name

Yup, Battyes right on the money there, if you have 3.54 you will not need the patch.

the fact that its fixed in 3.54 shows that frontcode know its a probblem, but wont bother to do anything about it except have a beta version hidden away on a beta test page that most users wont find...

Just downloaded 3.53 the other day...first time I used it...no problem! But now, I get my connection, I go to download some songs, and it just sits there in my transfer box, and eventually disconnects...I've noticed this has been happening to people trying to download stuff from my file as well! I never had this problem with 3.31...what can I do?
Just to warn you, I'll need all help in layman's terms...I'm a little green on most of the stuff you guys talk about!
