I have attached the full press release for those who whish to read the litany of propaganda that comes with the announcement.

I knew this would happen, glad I didn't donate any money.

Likewise Grinch. On the other hand, it's perhaps because folks didn't donate that he gave up? Probably not, though. At least what was donated must have helped out with the settlement.

This subject on slycks forum has generated 19 pages of replies ranging from mild rants to near death threats.
I think Lowkee has not only upset the applecart for himself but also made in next to impossible for any other site to solicit donations in the future.
It seems so far that they all want to sell out without testing the legal waters as to the validity of running an indexing site.
This matter has so far never come to court , the Mpaa/Riaa just threaten and under there "we have the money to crush you even if we're wrong " directive, site owners are running for cover.
I see the industries profits are up again this year, what a suprise
Seems another case of "Excessive Greed" over justice and a day in court to decide things democraticaly.

I read this earlier and it seems to be a bit more calming, and explain the Mpaa,s reluctance to let Lowkee say anything publicly.
