Ok people this is where you decide if you want to take the war to the MPAA instead of letting them pick us all off.
Loki torrents have been served with a john doe 1- 10 order accusing them of having copyrighted material on their site.
As most of you may know they are in fact an indexing site that holds no copyrighted material at all.
They are taking on the might of the MPAA to establish once and for all the legal position regarding any indexing of torrents.
Why am I telling you all this ? Well its really simple they need a donation to help pay for lawyers and they have raised $40,000 dollars so far but they are going to be needing more.
This is the only Torrent Group to attempt this so please give a small donation if you can, if they fail on this, all the torrent sites will be in easy reach of the greedy MPAA.
Let us torrent users show our support, and please spread the word as this is a battle we need to win.

You can make a donation here

Remember its not just money thats needed here, its popular support so please make a similar thread on any other forums you may visit, thanks all :)

Heres some more news on a story that seems to be scaring people.

http://www.slyck.com/news.php?story=647
Early this morning, news began circulating that LokiTorrent.com was up for auction on Sedo.com. Frantic, many individuals began flooding P2P forums expressing concerns that LokiTorrent.com had sold out. Not necessarily over the domain, but the username registrations and other personal account information.

The owner of the names has made clear he is not selling up just trying to get a valuation of the sites worth.
I never considered anyone caring that it's listed, honestly, as I never intended on actually telling the site. A bit naive on my part? Possibly. As for making it very public, I wrote every line of code for this site, and I consider it my 1st and (so far) best creation. Parting with it is not something I would do without a court order
I think its clear even if he did sell, he would still have to face court anyway, so this is a side issue in reality.
Please try to donate something if you can to the fund , they really are gonna need it . :rambo:
