Is It The RIAA Or Just Your Imagination?

Yesterday, it was been brought to my attention a very interesting article on Slyck.com forum. Many customers of Mediacom, an ISP provider here in the US, have been experiencing "technical difficulties" so to speak. Many of them have woke up one day to discover they are no longer able to access any p2p networks. How 'many' is many and what are the 'technical difficulties'? If you follow the links in the preceding article you can see that just the posting population many is alot..my guess is it could be thousands actually affected...with that said...my thoughts are 'technical difficulties my @ss'...

The battle over p2p is heating up in the US as well as other countries around the world. Its no surprise that in light of being unable to control the uncontrollable they would resort to sabotage tactics.

So my question after carefully reading the above thread and following the links provided is "Am I Next!?" the answer is YES, if we let them do this anywhere then You and I are next.

So I am posting this information for two reasons.. One so that all of us who are chasing the culprit of problems with WinMx and other p2p networks for ppl in the help sections should be aware of this....

and Two so that ppl understand that the RIAA may very well have found a way to affect everyone with a ISP that use p2p networks ... without the cost of litigation

This has been a wake up call for me personally,,, that I need to be more involved in protecting my rights to have and use p2p networks.
