A copy of the article I wrote on msn-problems.com  :

Microsoft will soon release a new version of MSN Messenger. We now have MSN Messenger 6.2, the new version will be 7.0. The release of the first public beta has been scheduled at November 11th. The layout of msn messenger has been changed and some new features have been added. For everybody that is interested in what MSN Messenger 7.0 will bring for us you can read this article.

Let’s start with having a look at the new main window. The way that contacts are shown has changed a bit and you can find a link to “MSN Todayâ€Â

I used this about a month ago and it worked until I rebooted. I was then asked to upgrade, which meant going back to 6.2. So hopefully they fixed that bug.

This was done on purpose because there were security issues with that version (7.0.0205) of the beta. Those were also the reason for MSN having "winks" turned off in the 7.0.0225 BETA. And there might be a delay for the public beta that is sceduled at November 11th.
