there wasn't evenn a 3.54 on the original beta lists

i think it was meant to be 3.52>3.53, 3.54>3.55, 3.59>3.6 or something, but they decided to add an extra one after 3.53 and only had 1 number left to do it with

Well thanks to the Riaa retards flooding the network I suspect theres no point in going ahead with an improved network
search facility, as they would only exploit that too, well done Riaa, you luddites :x

Unless Frontcode add a feature where you can't have the same file shared xx times or something.

there are many things that can be done to reduce the impact of even the most advanced attacks like that - gnutella is a good example, many people have tried flooding fake files on to that network but i doubt anyone would really notice it because of the nature of the network, as well as various advanced filters in most clients

unfortunnately gnutella is too good - its an ideal protocol in many ways, but like any ideal system it doesn't work too well
