WinMX and ZA are known for having problems with one another, i was acutally told that all P2P has a problem with the program

And you were told wrongly. I have personal experience that ZA can and does work with various flavours of windows running winmx.
I don't doubt that some people have trouble but then, some people have trouble with all software. One persons 'magic' word processor is another persons garbage.

I,ve just read your last post and thought I,d explain how my comments on Zone Alarm came about , I,m an avid reader of another forum http://www.vladd44.com , and on that forum I have heard so many times of the program causing problems when used with Winmx , obviously as you say not everyone has the same software and no doubt it affects different machines in different ways, its like the microsoft firewall ,it works but its not as easy to use as other options.
I,m sure if it is working fine for you it cant be all that bad .

Have had people need the old version & I for one am getting ready to download it right now as I need to do a fresh reinstall of winmx & do not want to get the new version yet.

I'm using Kerio as a firewall. Does the job and didn't have any problems with it until now.
