Things my computer did before it screwed up:
The internet connection through LAN wired network failed.
The mouse moved very slowly, windows media payer stopped playing and would make pop-ing noises.
Computer would not make a network connection longer than 30 seconds, in my findings the network was not the problem.
I changed a setting in the BIOS and computer will no longer boot, I will do more later in fixing it myself, I could not reset the BIOS by pulling the battery which usually clears the ROM of settings...

I forgot to mention now that it will not boot
There is no beep like it normally does upon booting, and there is at no point a video signal.

Problem solved. I reset the BIOS, and got as far as getting to windows login screen. Windows wouldn't boot because I cracked it and told me to activate it or bust. Well I didnt buy windows so that's what I did, I bought windows xp. Instead of ***** around with cracks that dont work, or work until an update comes a long and fixes thier problem.
No Problems since, other than USB Devices and the cluster ***** of wires.

Note. For future reference, search these forums thoroughly. I happen to know that a fix for the recent 'patch' to windows security was mentioned here.
I'm glad you fixed your glitch though.
PS. Linux is free.
