Microsoft went live with its ant-piracy campaign and I finally ran into a problem. I had to re-install XP on my laptop and used an XP SP2 copy. I got some updates but when I restarted and tried updating, I was told that my copy wasn't legitimate.

Keeping up with the latest trends, I know that this has already been crakced and went looking for the crack. I found it and you would not believe how easy and stupid it is to crack. I literally laughed when I read the instructions. Microsoft is stupid.

For those interested, contact me and I'll fill you in.

Yeah really is funny how they can't figure out that there will always be people who are ready and willing to find a way around thier anti-piracy attempts.

The workaround is actually built into IE, that is how stupid it is.

PM sent. I heard a bit about it, but don't remember just what the fix was. I'm going through my IE options in the mean time to see if I can find it.

Holy crap, that was easier than I ever would have thought. I was looking through all my security info and playing with disabling javascript and activeX. I never thought it was as simple as that.
