Jack Kilby, the American scientist who died on Monday aged 81, invented the first monolithic integrated circuit,
commonly called the microchip, in 1958.

The integrated circuit Kilby designed at Dallas-based Texas Instruments in 1958 served as the basis for modern micro-electronics and personal computer design. For that creation, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2000.

During his 25-year career at TI, he registered more than 60 patents and was also one of the inventors of the hand-held calculator and the thermal printer.

there's also the other theory that it was invented by reverse engineering of alien technology.(ret)Lt.Col. Philip Corso has said that and also other supposed insiders who came out of the closet so to speak, who talk about the supposed government UFO cover-up conspiracy.

Anyways back to the subject at hand, i agree it is a sad day an a sad lost for the scientific community.
Thanks for the info Moongirl , i didn't even know that he invented the integrated circuit chip, if i wasn't for him we wouldn't be using are fast PC's today, unless someone else would've invented it instead of him.

None that i know of, but from what i've been reading they supposedly stopped doing assassinations in the mid-70's, after the senate select committee on assassinations finished there investigating of the JFK assassination & other assassinations.I can't remember if that was the right name for the committee or if it was just the JFK assassination or other assassinations they investigated. I haven't read about it in along time.They use other technics now instead of killing people who threating to expose the cover up.
Like trying to discredit the person so that no one will believe there story or maybe even advanced MK-Ultra mind control technics,plus they also use the ridicule factor that comes with the subject of ufology against them.
