It's only 7200 RPM with an 8 Mb cache,pretty standard. But it's case is small and can be rack mounted has FireWire 800, FireWire 400, iLink/DV, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or USB 1.1, so you can daisy chain uummm lets say 3 or 4 together

Hmm... not sure about the firewire connections but 1TB over USB would be slow as hell.

You wouldn't likely be transfering one terabyte all at once. And over USB 1.1, it would be unthinkably slow. But since USB 2 is like 40 times faster I think, that'd be decent.

Well obviously you wouldn't want to transfer the whole lot at once.... unless you worked for NASA or something... but still.. imagine doing a format or defrag.
