I want to make my own screensaver, but all the software I've come across is really yeech. I just want to make a simple screensaver with multiple floating images all at once (all the software I've downloaded only lets me float one image at a time!).
If anyone has any info or advice, it would be so appreciated!

Hmm. I'm not sure if it's still available but Real Networks (they of the Real Player) used to have a 'producer' gadget that let you make movies from photos. You could float images; scroll them in and out from any direction; fade them in/out. The movie could be set to a soundtrack and you could also add text and voice notes to it. Most importantly (for you) you could also save the file as a screensaver.
Also... you could try a flash animation. The easiest way to do this using existing pictures would probably be Swish ( http://www.swishzone.com ) but unfortunately, none of their products is free.

I'm under the impression that Flash would be the best way to go. It's not too incredibly hard to work with (after you read some tutorials on it or press all the buttons) and when you're done, you've learned Flash.

I don't think I like the sound of that. I'm not sure why, as I haven't heard anything nasty about Adobe. Mabye I'm scared that my flash plugin will get all bloated and make me watch a loading screen as it stalls my browser.
I've found this to be a handy pdf reader. I haven't switched to it completely yet, but that may happen soon. It was helpful at the library where the computers there didn't have adobe intsalled, and you couldn't get anything to install. This one's just open and run.

It worries me too. Apparently, the Macromedia share holders will benefit from an 18% share in Adobe stock. That's just great for them as it probably means that Macromedia isn't going to be quietly absorbed, but I'm still not happy.
Yesterday, for example, my acrobat reader told me it wanted to upgrade to version 7. I told it that it could do so if it wanted to. It said, it wanted to install Yahoo toolbar while it was doing it and I told it that would be a bad idea. I tried to deselect the Yahoo toolbar from the 'download' thingy and found that the only way to get rid of it was to also block upgrading to version 7 of the acrobat reader. Unpleasant things appear to be happening at Adobe. They also purchased Jasc's Photoshop a month or two back.
