Why Use Firefox?

Popup Blocking
Stop annoying popup ads in their tracks with Firefox's built in popup blocker.

Tabbed Browsing
View more than one web page in a single window with this time saving feature. Open links in the background so that they're ready for viewing when you're ready to read them.

Smarter Search
Google Search is built right into the toolbar, and there are a plethora of other search tools including Keywords (type "dict <word>" in the Location Bar), and the new find toolbar (which finds as you type and eliminates the annoying window that always seems to be in your way).

Privacy and Security
Built with your security in mind, Firefox keeps your computer safe from malicious spyware by not loading harmful ActiveX controls. A comprehensive set of privacy tools keep your online activity your business.

Live Bookmarks
RSS integration lets you read the latest news headlines and read updates to your favorite sites that are syndicated.

Hassle-Free Downloading
Files you download are automatically saved to your Desktop so they're easy to find. Fewer prompts mean files download quicker.

Fits Like a Glove
Simple and intuitive, yet fully featured, Firefox has all the functions you're used to - Bookmarks, History, Full Screen, Text Zooming to make pages with small text easier to read, etc.

I've started using Mozilla and quite like it :)
Very reliable and hasn't crashed in the slightest :)

Thumbs up from me :D

I've gotten some crashes, but my computer is just funny like that. (IE is more stable than firefox, can't run RCMS or Nushi...)

Still, I can't stand to go back to IE after getting used to the functionality of FF.

Well, that settles it. Heard enough. I'm going to give it a try and add it to my list of installed browsers. :)

Currently I have:

IE - three versions (2, 5 & 6)
Tiber (very very old)
Netscape Navigator
Mozilla Navigator
Opera

And I'll go get Firefox now. :)
Thanks folks.

OK.... been running it a few hours now and I already love it. Still casinos and what-have-you wanting me to join the fun but otherwise... fairly clean browsing and it's damned fast too.
I can also recommend the Mozilla Thunderbird E-mail client to go with it.

I dunno battye....
I like Firefox but I can't say I've ever been impressed with either the netscape or mozilla versions of navigator. It looks and feels very different to me.
Tiber... You probably can't get it. I'll have to dig out my old CD's for you. Truly an experience never to be repeated. ;) Umm... See this forum thing we're chatting on? Tiber can't do that. lol. See these nice coloured backgrounds? Tiber can't do that either. :) I use it to see what pages look like to very basic browsers designed for either old systems or for users with visual impairments.
Opera is bleh? May I ask why? I like it. :)

FireFox is awesome, download the ADBlock extension and you wont have anymore problems with ADs Rat.

Their are also alot of other extensions to be had that will make the browsing experience even better.

Well, you can kill the ads. The rest I won't try to defend beyond saying I've never had problems with stability or speed from it. That's just my personal experience though.

Hmmmm sounds kind of like Myie2. I'm using it now and I like it, stable. Almost no popups, tabbed browsing and lots of plug ins and tools to get for it and it fast. They have changed the name to Maxthon now.

Heh, first time I read this I thought ... msie 2 ... I still have that somewhere. Then I read it again and saw my mistake. Next I read the bit about the name change... not surprisin' really. I guess M$ pointed a few hundred loaded lawyers at them.

Know you don't need yet another person saying this (just wasting mySQL space :P ), but FF rocks. Didn't like it at first, then got used to it, then loved it.
