Hmm this sounds like a case of being too successful.
Due to the large amount of market share the ipod has gained and the proprietory format used by the player and accessories (AAC), it seems that this is being used to back a claim that a customer was "forced" to purchase this equipment and that a monopoly exists because he could not play the AAC audio back on any other product.. is he for real ?

Nobody is forced to use iPod or iTunes. There are plenty of alternatives...

So let them just **** off and stop whining...

It's to be fair though because the same thing kind of happened to microsoft. They are forced to stop having WMP in Windows installations I believe, I forget the exact story but it resulted in MS giving source code to other OS Developers, which I don't agree with.
