Possible Problem With Chat Server Prog

This thread was posted this morning and claims that theres a problem with one of Km,s chat server programs , just doesnt say which and this may have been one of the reasions for the patch release recently .

If it is true we may all need to spread the word which program not to use or tell people about the patch. I,m waiting for more information

RCMS, MCS, and RoboMX if hosting a room thats listed on WinMX have the potential to cause the problem, only thing to sread the word about is to get people to not use topics that are too long, or room names that are too long (although the room name thing is only on old MCS and early 3.52 beta's as far as i know)

I decided to release the patch because the problem was getting worse and i tried talking to a few of the rooms causing the problems but gave up after all of the ones i tried simply ignored me, perhaps if enough people kept pestering them to sort it out they might be more cooperative

Ok KM I know which version is the affected one now anyway , I,ll spread the word about.
I understand that you didnt want folks to abuse the bug and thats why you never made a public announcement but you gotta trust some people to discreetly get the bad programs off the shelves , however thats possible.
Hope this all resolves itself soon .
