P2P: WinMX
Problem: Unable to get a secondary connection via a SOCKS 4 proxy server.
When It Started Happening: Whenever I attempt to connect via the proxy. Primary connections or any connection not using the proxy works fine.
If You Have Installed Any New Software or Hardware: Nope.
If You Have A Firewall or Router: YES Netgear WGT624 Wireless Router and Zone Alarm 4.0 Pro Software Firewall
Internet Connection: Cable
Internet Service Provider: Time Warner (USA)
Operating System: WinXP Pro SP2
Ram, Processor, And Other Computer Information: 512 DDR RAM, 2.6 GB Pentium Hyperthreaded Processor.
Other: I've tried various lists of SOCKS servers to use, but none of them seem to work. I've opened the appropriate ports on my firewall and my router and this also seems to have no effect. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hey buddy, welcome to the forum :)
I don't have much knowledge about proxy servers, so hopefully we will both learn something here :)

If you want, I will try and recreate your environment by trying to conenct to the proxy as well. I don't know if the details are private or something so if they are you could PM them to me or we can try something else :)

Well you say it works fine without the proxy but as so many folks seem to have problems with your firewall of choice (though it works for me) I'd suggest you try a different firewall and see if it works that way.
