FREERIP is a free program that rips .cda files to MP3 file. If you dont know the name of the songs it usually gets the information from the net , nice neat and quite respectable program that some influental friend suggested . You can get it at http://www.mgshareware.com/frmmain.html

Freerip is great. Fast and best of all free!
I also use dbPower for normalizing the volume of my mp3's.
