The code at the end of every users name doesn't change as long as you stay on the same computer from what I've seen. It would seem pretty easy for WinMX to just search the network to see if the user with that ID is online?
I've rebooted and changed IP's, still stays the same. Could it be a special code within the WinMX client?

The only way I know of storing ppl on your list is to add then to the ignored list . After you have rebooted , got to the ignored box and right click on their names then select whois ...this comes up with a box ...from here you can browse or message them ,if there on the network still, and havent rebooted or restarted mx. the part of the code that was suggested (the session number), does change fairly rapidly, for me its each time I log on.
there are may users who keep a file in their shares like me named [user]_Don_Auto_MXM.zip and [user]_Don_Auto_MXM.txt what i do to find the user is hit a search for this file
On 3.6 they say it is supposed to search the whole network. In effect, that will be the best way to do it soon

I imagine that if they get a perm hotlist, then perm igonre will come hand in hand. If they leave the limit for names you can ignore at 512, then it won't be to long before the list cycles anyway.
btw I would like to get rid of 0 file sharers being able to log on to winmx...... but they could still share junk.... but atleast they are sharing something :/
