Well now that the test finished early, I wonder if the ODI squad will come out any earlier.

Bangladesh will be without their captain Litton Das, allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud for the three-match series against Zimbabwe. All these players have been granted NOCs to play in the Lanka Premier League, which overlaps with the T20I series.
I wonder if they will re-think that if the ODIs go badly for them.

Here is the squad and I think it’s a good one. More youth focused

Richard Ngarava (capt), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Ben Curran, Craig Ervine, Brad Evans, Innocent Kaia, Clive Madande (wk), Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani (wk), Wellington Masakadza, Ernest Masuku, Blessing Muzarabani, Newman Nyamhuri, Sikandar Raza

Bangladesh without Litton, Mehidy, Taskin and Hasan Mahmud is basically a second-string attack, so Zimbabwe should target this series hard. The youth-focused squad under Ngarava makes sense with an eye on the next World Cup cycle, though I do worry about inexperience in the middle order if the top three fall cheaply. If Bennett and Curran get going in the powerplay, the series could get away from the visitors quickly.

Missing Litton, Mehidy, Taskin and Hasan Mahmud really tilts this series toward Zimbabwe - their attack should trouble that second-string batting order at home. Ngarava leading the youth project is the right call with the World Cup cycle in mind, though I'd still expect experience to take the series 2-1 at worst. Odds on Zimbabwe for the opener are already short, so anyone following the markets can compare exchange prices on Play99exch before the toss.

Lurked for a while, finally posting. This subforum has some of the more grounded discussion I've found — most places just shout tips at each other. Following this one.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread — been reading through it and picked up a couple of practical ideas. I keep notes on my sessions and reviewing them weekly has honestly helped more than any strategy article.

Zimbabwe's middle order has looked brittle all series - once Williams and Raza are back in the hut the tail folds inside an over. Bangladesh's spinners have been smarter with their lengths on these dusty surfaces, landing it on a length outside off and letting the ball do the work. If the hosts want to level anything they need a genuine second partnership from the top four, not another cameo.

On the in-play betting side of cricket, patience pays far more than pre-match punts. Waiting for the powerplay to finish before taking a position on a chase gives you real information about pitch behavior instead of guesses. A chasing side at 2.10 after ten overs with two wickets down is usually still well short of where the market prices them.

For anyone following the Test championship race: the away-cycle points are what separate contenders from pretenders. Sides that win in Asia with spin rarely do it by accident - it takes two front-line spinners who can hold an end for long spells plus at least one batsman willing to bat time at six. Home comfort masks a lot of weaknesses that get exposed on tour.

Another week, another lesson in patience. I've started limiting myself to two bets per series — forces me to actually think about which positions I understand best instead of spraying money across every match.

For ODIs I keep a simple rule: no bets before the toss. Teams shuffle bowling attacks so much these days that pre-toss prices are basically guesses. Nice to have a thread for the series here.

Small tip from my side: keep a staking log. I started using a simple sheet after reading play99exch guides on bankroll discipline, and the difference in my results was immediate.

ODI chases are where I lose the most, so now I wait for the 30-over mark before even considering a position. The odds feel worse but my strike rate says otherwise.

For anyone new to series betting: flat stakes first. Once you can finish a series ahead or flat, then scale. Learned that the hard way.

One more tip for this series: watch the bowling changes after the powerplay. Captains telegraph their plans and the in-play odds lag a couple of minutes behind. That gap is where the only reliable live value sits.

A simple staking sheet changed my results more than any tip service. Track, review, repeat.
