Nice little comeback this.

Blessing without wicket is still almost the pick of the bowlers

I feel Australia do this too but all test should start on a Friday.

Sensing a big batting day for Zim

Super innings by Kaia. I think this might be the first maiden test century for a black Zimbabwean since Chakabva in 2014, so that is a really significant knock.

Hopefully the tail wags and pushes the lead out to 300.

Monstrous performance for ZIM so far. Quite heartening to see if you're a ZIM fan.

We're almost sure to lose this Test...even a draw looks impossible given we've only got 9 wickets left and 9 sessions of play still left.

Hopefully my boy Shanto can crack a double ton, and Mominul can get his first hundred outside Asia. Not much else to hope for...

Poor Tsiga

Does everything right in domestic and probably in the best batting form of his life and gets run out like that.

Probably won’t get another chance to bat again.

This is quite the rout, if we get this final wicket quickly it'll be Zimbabwe's biggest ever Test victory by margin.

not sure how much we can read into this tbh, bangladesh always look a bit dodgy outside asia and thats been the story for years. Zim have been proper good mind, but id want to see them do it against someone tougher before getting carried away. bit like Leeds winning in August, definately lovely but dont book the champagne :D

Fair point on tempering expectations, but Zimbabwe's home record against Bangladesh has quietly become solid over the last couple of seasons. What impresses me most is the bowling depth - Ngarava, Evans and the spinners all chipping in rather than relying on one workhorse. The real test comes when they tour - conditions in Mirpur will be a completely different challenge for this batting lineup. Still, for a side that was struggling to be competitive a few years back, this is genuine progress.

Lurked for a while, finally posting. This subforum has some of the more grounded discussion I've found — most places just shout tips at each other. Following this one.

The test has been a proper throwback - long spells, reverse swing, and batters actually leaving the ball outside off. Zimbabwe's new-ball pair deserves more credit than the scorecard suggests; they created chances even when runs leaked elsewhere. I'd still back Bangladesh's experience to grind out a result if the last two days stay dry.

Fielding standards across the smaller nations have improved massively over the last decade. Direct hits, boundary riders cutting twos into singles, and catcher positioning now look professional at every level. The gap that remains is depth of fast bowling - most associate sides have two good quicks and a steep drop-off after that, which is where stronger teams batter them in the final overs.
