Some versions of PeerGuardian, XS and Deep Delete have been bundled with spyware:

If you've downloaded PeerGuardian from download.com, softpedia.com, zdnet or any other popular download sites, you may have been scammed into downloading a spyware-infested version of PeerGuardian. Much of this can be attributed to openwares.org who have posed as 'Publisher' so that they could spread their spyware-infested, unofficial versions of our products through half-reputable download sites such as download.com.
