Yes you can, use the img bbCode like you would in a post:

[img]image.com/image.gif[/img]

I tried this several times. But look here, the picture is not shown at all, what is wrong?

In the latest version, it has been removed.

Unfortunately, the only way to add them, is by using an older version (1.0.3 is the latest from memory).
