Turn your home PC into a fully functional server complete with:

PHP5, MySQL, Apache and PHPMyAdmin

As soon as it is installed you are ready to go. You do need to do some configuring to get available to other people but it is fairly straight forward (even I figured it out without asking questions).

This is a handy tool for those PHP developers to test their stuff out without uploading to their webhost. Also good for people who want to learn how to code PHP, set up a forum or..... gasp.... a BT Tracker . I have learned a lot messing around with UniServer and other programs like it.

There is a support forum for this proggie but they are kind of slow to respond.

I've been using this for a while, very handy. However to avoid problems occuring with older programs it's best to download UniForm server with PHP 4.x. Or in php.ini alter the configuration setting of register_long_array

I'm just bumping this so I can find it later. I might try to forward a port or two to my laptop because when I lose access to my server, I don't know if my cable went out, or if I need to call home and have somebody restart it.
