I am having this problem which I also saw on the Windows support forum which means I am not the only one with the problem. I get a message "both users Firewalled" when i try to dl from some users and some get it when they try dl from me (I see them as timed out). This happens even when I have shut off the firewall..tried other firewalls too. I connect both primariy and secondary in all combinations. but the only one in which I am able to exchange is Secondary and no tcp or udp ports given. Any other combination ends up in timeouts. I tried in on Windows 2000, Windows XP service pack 1 and 2 ..all with and without firewalls (native, zone alarm, Black ice and sygate. In the case of firewall used configured ports TCP 6699, 16699 and UDP 6257 and 16257 to be opened. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem ? Is there something to be configured within Windows to let it work? I have also check most of the sites which are helpline to Winmx like buchanan etc

I had that problem with my puter for a while....
I have a linksys router and 2wire modem which were both firewalled...
So linksys disabled the firewall in my router and now i am just using the firewall in my modem.... which i just opened the normal ports on that mx uses and i have not recieved that message since.....
The good thing about this 2wire modem is its ease of port forwarding, you just go to your HomePortal page and change the settings and they are automatically changed without a reboot.
