I got a virus

I have this virus or worm that keeps trying to disconnect me from the internet. Every ten or so minutes I get the error:

2033E The authentication host or the network is unavailable

Then I have to switch off Norton Internet Security to reconnect
Norton Antivirus brings nothing, but then again it always brings nothing

Does anyone know the name of this virus / worm thing?

Try running a different virus scan and adware/spyware proggie

Running Adaware now, what's a good Spyware remover?

Adaware and Spybot are both good for it. There are others if you want to try them. Pandasoft has a good online virus scanner if you want to give that a go.

Norton Internet Security is a virus. I uninstalled it and the disconnections suddenly stopped. hmm

I knew there was a drawback to norton!

Battye I use AVG and like it very much it updates very often, I have had a few trojens and it caught them and got rid of them, also as Grinch says Panda online scan is very good !

I have Adware with keygen if ya want it. Every day before I get off my pc I run Adware & Spybot both. Then if ya want to go a little further there is Hijack This and CW Shredder

just beware when using it battye, know what u got to delete otherwise u can and will mess ***** up

This unfortunately is one of those programs that allow you to remove perfectly fine files and registry keys , not the sort of thing I like to use as It can cause system instability.
Two words for it, Be Aware . This is the Online Scanner I use to Check for unwelcome visitors
