I've installed it and while I am able to create a quiz, I seem unable to view it once it has been submitted. How do I select a submitted quiz?

Sorry for the late reply calmac, when you say you are unable to view it what do you mean? Do you get an error or can you just not see the quiz?

thanks for getting back to me. I don't get any error message, I'll list the steps I take below:



1. After installation I get the new quiz button appearing at the top right of the forum home page.

2. I click on this and I'm taken to a page with the 'submit quiz' link

3. I click on that link and complete the quiz.

4. Once completed I choose 'submit' and it loads a page where I can give the quiz a title and a category.

5. Although I can enter a title of my choosing, the drop-down button for 'category' reveals no options to choose from. I continue to identify the correct answers and then click 'submit'.

6. The page changes to display the following message:
"The quiz has now been submitted into the database.
Click here to return to the quiz index page."
When I click the link at that point, I'm taken to the 'submit quiz' page I encountered at point #2 and cannot see any quiz that I've compiled. Where is this quiz database?

Have you created any quiz categories? (in the ACP you can add quiz categories).
Once you have a quiz category, then you should have some options in the drop down list to select from. I think as soon as a category is selected you will be able to see the quiz. Please let me know if this fixes it.

Hi,

there isn't anywhere in the ACP where I can configure the quiz.

Under the Automod tab it shows that I have the following installed:

• Ultimate Quiz MOD
  phpBB mChat

Under the .MODS tab there is only reference to the mChat MOD. Should I be seeing the UQM in there too?

Hi calmac, have you installed the ACP module? There is no UMIL with this, so as from the DIY instructions of the install file:

To install the ACP quiz module, go to the ACP -> System -> Module Management -> Administration Control Panel -> and select "Quiz" from the "add module list" on the bottom right.

I notice your quiz on here has a countdown timer, is that something I could add to mine? Also, I see in the configuration page for the quiz that there's the option to enable cash/points; where do I find this mod?

I am restarting development of the Ultimate Quiz MOD with Dugi! We are currently co-authoring v2.1.2 which will contain several new features. We will be continuing the v2.1.x line so that anyone currently using v2.1.0 or v2.1.1 will be able to easily upgrade.

Here is a message from Dugi outlining the plans for the new version:

I'm happy to announce that battye has decided to continue the development of the Ultimate Quiz MOD. The only new thing is that I'm helping battye with this MOD's development now.

This MOD continues the series of the previous versions, so the next version will be 2.1.2.

This topic shows how me and battye are progressing with the MOD and we will list all future features here.

• Version 2.1.2
  1. Quiz timer (countdown) - Adds a countdown timer to a quiz. - battye - 0%
  2. UMIL installer - Dugi - 0%
  3. BBCode support for quizzes - Dugi - 0%
  4. User Interface fixes and additions (includes new icons) - Dugi - 0%
  5. Group permissions - When creating categories, select which groups should see quizzes from that category. - Dugi - 0%
  6. Group rewards - User will become part of group X if he answered X% of the questions correctly (this is category based) - battye - 0%

If anyone has any suggestions for a future release, please do post them so we can take them into consideration!
