some servers dont like being pinged, like if you were to ping my computer (winrejects.no-ip.org) there would never be a response, and eventually norton gets irritated and bans your Ip for 1/2 hour...

didn't think a node would do ban like that....is it fixed now?

Umm... Correct me if I'm wrong please but, umm, don't routes change pretty much daily, depending on which routers and servers are active?
