PC enthusiasts who keep up with the latest and greatest technologies know how difficult it is to understand which P4 is which P4. Intel has confused us with the many different models of the P4 and it makes picking out the right one difficult so they decided to change the name of the processor. With permission from BMW the P4's will now have model numbers similar to BMW cars. They will have a 500, 600 and 700 series chip. The 500 is the low end budget CPU's, 600's will be the midrange 800 Mhz FSB chips and the 700's will be the Extreme Editions. This should help out when trying to select which CPU you will want to buy. The new naming convention will start with the 3.6 Ghz P4 due out soon.
