any suggestions for a free A/V? let me know! thanks in advance :)

AntiVirus? I've got AVG installed for several people with no trouble. I've even thought atout moving to it for myself.

I also use AVG it works great, it's FREE, updates come as regular as do the ones you pay for it's the best one for the money IMO. There are also many online scans you can use if your not afraid of running java and IE.

Note: any new AV you run make sure all of your old AV is disabled/deleated :wink: some files in them are hard to rid yourself of.

well i went with Avast..they have a free home version

and i didn't have to worry about deleting old AV stuff cus i just did a format! i hate formatting!! lol

ClamAV. I'm running it on a few computers now, and it seems to be ok. It finds viruses and other crapware, like spyware and adware. Be careful when you configure it, though. Default setting only shows where they are. You have to frob a switch to get it to delete as it goes.
