How much of the internet have you blocked?

I have blocked 77 computers entirely from any kind of communication from my computer, 62 are from the university's network.

That is 0.00000179% of the internet

of the 62 wcu computers, that is 0.095% of thier network blocked.

Likewise they have all been blocked for various reasons, port scans, flooding my radio, or some other reason.

I used to have something along the lines of verisign.com blocked in my host file. Had something to do with speeding up context menus.

There are a few that I should block, as they're flooding my apache logs with nonsense. The problem with blocking ip's is that you never know who's behind them. A lot of them are dynamic, so the scum you block today might be a valid user tomorrow.

AdBlock, on the other hand, blocks all kinds of stuff.

Maybe we should share our AdBlock filters? I think mine's decent

Nes... I've installed Filterset.G along with my AdBlock. They work wonderfully together. You can get the filterset - which is updated often - from the firefox extensions site.

I've been thinking of testing it on my new computer at work. If nothing else, it'd be cool to see what all it blocks. I honestly think AdBlock is the best thing that ever happened to FireFox. When I pull sites up in alternate browsers and start seeing banner ads again, it really makes me miss my AdBlock.
