I used this to get rid of my index.dat files,it seems to get the job done at deleting those pesty index.dat files  that keeps growing larger & larger everytime you use M$ IE.After it deletes the Index.dat files the OS creates new empty index.dat files.

That sounds pretty interesting. I remember reading an article way back when about the info that MS keeps around on your computer.

Yea like i said it does the job of deleting the index.dat files.Other people say M$ did that on purpose so they can spy on people.I've also read that it's a bug within IE .M$ knows about it.

Do you mean this article about index.dat files?

That would be the one. I don't think that the first time I saw it was on that site, rather I think I downloaded it form WinMX, but that's the one. I haven't been to that site in a long time, and probably wouldn't have remembered that's where it came from. thanks.

(I'm surprised the filter let that url through)

I am in the military, big difference. Each of us had to sign a letter stating what we can and cannot do on government computers. You break the rules you pay. Simple as that. I could really care less what you look at but as the Network Admin I have to uphold the rules.
