that sounds interesting, it about time they join forces with the competition, instead of being the way they're known to be anticompetitive.

Reminds me of the slightly proprietary version of html they use with help files now, so that you can't open them without a version of IE on your computer.
I'm sure the two won't turn out to be related, though.
