Problem with my WinXp Sp2 ....<<need help!!!!!!!!

first of all thanx to anyone who is willing to help me...ok on with my issue

i resently booted up my computer and loged on to my account...and i found out that my internet shortcut wasn't working...so i check it out in the control panel and i was looking for the internet connection there but i found out that it no longer existed ...but i have never deleted the connection..so now i can't log on the internet easly so i have to do some other steps..that i don't need to EXPLANE....so..thats one problem the other one is that i can't turn on the windows firewall ..nor i can't use Help and Support well here is a pic of was i get when i want to open up Help and support i don't even know wa they mean by system service so if any one know's my problem plez help me out...thanx...

If you want a quick visual of which items are running or stopped, this is fine, but the information is limited. that error sounds like one of the old ones...
"windows could not find a keybored, press F1 to continue"

thats a BIOS error during the POST, not a Windows error...

The windows one is:

"A Mouse was not detected, click OK to continue"
