Heres my problem. I was using nero vision 2 and upgraded to 3 for faster burning. now some of my avi files will not work on 3 but they did on 2, but the ones on 3 did burn faster. any ideas?

ok im running win xp with 512 ram, its a dell. It seems that nero exprees vision 3 that i got will not burn DIV3 / MPG1-L3 compression. Its avi . I can play these file with winamp or any other view i got with audo and video.

things that i have done- remove nero completely, get all newest dl for nero 5 or 6 times. Try other versions of nero like 6.0 and up.

Ok the other things is everytime i reinstall nero vision 2 it works fine with that compression

Do you have licensed copies of this software? If so, it might make sense to ask Nero. People here are generally pretty quick to answer when they know the possible solution. I'm guessing the lack of response means that nobody knows. Also, if version 2 works, why not use it?
I still use Nero 5. There's some truth in 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

I was thinking along the lines of maybe you have to update the plugins when you change Nero components ,a great place to look is on the Ahead site

http://www.nero.com/en/index.html

They usually have product upgrades on there for free.

The plugins can be found on WinMx just search for Nero plugins Or Ahead plugins

Rats right though new isnt always best
