The use of colour codes in writing prevent it from working, so don't use them when trying to trigger it. As you can see it also lists who else has the matching size file in the room, I've found this inaccurate at times as I've seen it list me as having files that I don't have. You can add colour to it responses if you want but you must space the colour code and the variables that is has apart from each other or it wont print anything out:
#cx#%SEARCH% is wrong
#cx# %SEARCH% is correct
can change the trigger it uses aswell but you can't do this through the main GUI, open the ShareGuard.ini file and change it in there and reload the program and the change should take effect.

I've been trying out Shareguard since I DLed it the other day and it works perfectly in my Roboserve room, but wont work in a friend's WCS room...

I suspect that /bot needs to be output for Shareguard but havent seen a way to do it....any ideas folks?

Yes I know...I've posted a few times in his and Bender's forums.....

As to the WCS room I tried as user(no colour codes) and got no responce from Shareguard at all....(tried /me as well with no luck)...

Now in my Roboserve room it worked like a top....but did get to wondering if it would be possible to make use of Roboserve's /Private msg command to hide the responces from the room....the same might could be done in the RCMS rooms too...

ShareGuard doesn't like colours because the trigger MUST be the first thing in a line of text. Because colours sent down 2 hex bytes in front of the trigger ShareGuard never sees it. As for colours in names SG can't find the name with the hex in it on the user list so it never sends results because it's looking for the wrong name.

There is a simple fix for that though. Under Search Bot change the no files found message to #atscmd mctoff (or /bot or whatever your server uses to disabled colours)

Then search for something nonexistant like say... !find asd876a
When SG sends the no files found remark it will then have colours disabled for it. Then change the no files found message back to normal. Problem solved :)

It works fine for me :D. There's 2 requirements. The person searching cannot have colours in their name, or in their text.

If you're using a server other than Ouka's there may still be an issue with colours in the usernames, since his handles usernames rather differently. But I'll leave that up to someone else to test.

The process isn't a "fix" by any means anyways. Just a simple workaround until someone gets around to fixing it.

On a side note it'd be nice to have a bit of a delay between the bye message and the kick command. Gotta give them time to at least read the message

As you know Elephantman, Bender has made the source code available to anyone who wishes to update it, as long as they comply with making
their source code available also.
The real problem here is finding someone who has the time ,knowledge, and motivation to iron out some of the issues that have cropped up.
It would be a good idea to have a list of items that we can all agree on need fixing, so anyone thinking of doing the work, can target, to make it more
compatible with other clients. :)

i havent tested it but shareguard should work fine in WCS rooms now if you use the "b" access flag for it to make WCS treat it as a bot
