Do you think Filesharing is wrong or right?
It is a matter of personal choice and I think it is right to do!

I voted for right
Not that I'd ever do it or anything
CricketMX.com in 2022: Still the home of bat's, rat's and other farmyard animals!

I think it has the same amount of being wrong as the prices for dvd, cd etc.

Ok first let me say yes I did vote for "right" but I also know that "right" is going to be what most people vote.... after all isn't that pretty much what most of this forum/message board is all about?
And yes most of the content that gets shared is copyrighted materials that the entertainment industry would have you believe should not be traded freely in programs like WinMX and stuff. What I say is AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GO OUT AND MAKE A PROFTE ON THE STUFF YOU DOWNLOAD THEN THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD FILES.
The media industry are actually partly to blame for making p2p programs so popular.... by going and suing Napster and making a big media circus out of it, they brought knowledge of p2p to Jo Average on the street. I truly believe that p2p would not be as big as it is now if the Napster Case never came up.

Just a few . I think as we have been ripped off by the music industry for so long its like payback time. Each time they bring out a new format/medium they charge top dollar for it until the pirates show how cheap the disk/tapes really are before the companies and artists get there cut from it all .

Right, because I'm selfish and I don't give a ***** about other peoples right to protect what they have created.
Mhmm... There are ways around this. There are such things as 'Creative Commons' licences. I think artists (particularly musicians) would do well to look into this.Omnist wrote:Right, because I'm selfish and I don't give a ***** about other peoples right to protect what they have created.
