there are that many bugs allready, after all that time they spent testing it before letting us have it... if they hadn't tested it then the list would probably have at least 30 bug fixes on it...

Beta 2 doesn't report the number of shared files a user has to chat rooms. I have a nice juicy 0 by my name but if anyone browses, they can see the whole lot. This problem clearly doesn't extend to network searches cos I've managed to complete a couple of uploads. I already sent the bug report.

Fixed bug that caused 0 shared file count when secondary connected and entering a channel

What's new in v3.54 beta 4

Fixed several bugs in file scan code that were causing crashes.
Library view remembers expanded folders between sessions
Shared file/byte count on folder lines
Search for Alt/Similar menu option on Library files
Fixed bug that prevented column sort order persistence
F2 key rename selected Library file

Been a while since a new beta has been released. It looks to be pretty stable, why don't they just release Beta 4 as 3.55?

WinMX v3.55 BETA
This version includes a very important upgrade to the core WPNP primary connection protocol, and several key upgrades in the Search and Browse windows. With the protocol upgrade it is hoped search coverage will be near-100%, which will translate into vastly-improved search results, especially for rare files. The protocol upgrade is also a preliminary step toward a persistent hotlist (which will be in an upcoming test.)

Frontcode need to make up their mind:

WinMX 3.52 Beta -> 3.53
WinMX 3.54 Beta -> 3.54 Final

Odd numbering system, but I guess as long as it works..
