There's a virus going around. It's clever how they do it, instead of emails and such, they disguise the virus as a message, if you accept the message from the user you get the virus.

But I'm lazy. Why don't you just post the info here instead of linking to your site?

well nes. If you know anything about the internet, being able to have somone discover a site you have to advertise or show that the site has valuable information. It is my right to withhold this info, if you don't want to look, then it's your loss not mine, no where does it read on this site that I have to share everything i know about something. I don't expect YOU to click the link, apparently you can tell what's going on off hand, therefore, quit b|tching...

This being a virus alerts forum it would have been nice to have been alerted to the virus rather than being alerted to how we could be alerted. ;)

I post on 4 sites as well as here , and it never enters my mind to withhold info, people respect help Wannabe .

Heres a link to get started on the information trail folks (Version 5.5 and earlier versions of AOL IM are vulnerable)

http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-5303636.html

And for the terminally bored try this list of AOL vunerabilities.

http://secunia.com/product/581/#advisories

What is suprising is that this vunerability was discovered in august ...lol
AOL have updated their software and issued patches and this threat has now been downgraded accordingly.
