lately my road runner has been sh*tting out quite a lot. I'll lose my connection suddenly without warning, I run down to see what's wrong and my cable HUB has basically reset itself as it is still trying to recieve a signal, then it goes back to being online, 5 minutes later it is down again...then it's back up....is it problems with the HUB or do i need to call road runner and get them to install a new cable for our internet to run through?

Also, one of the ports on my main router has gone bad, is that usually a sign to buy a new one? i think it might be....altho im more worried about wtf is happening to the road runner........

Sometimes my modem reconnects or can't get a signal, usually it just means my ISP are down though :)

Ring up RoadRunner and see if they are having problems in your area :)

yeah that's what ima try, but idk it's weird...its never happend till like 1 week ago.....

I had that problem with SBC and they found out that my card in the central building had been shorted by the one next to it....

So the guy working on the one next to mine, changed mine out as well

Now everything is going great....

You can try doing a reset also. For some routers you can just plug it of from power for some time. For others you have to press a button. I suggest you check the manual for it.

unhook your router and just let one pc be connected to the cable modem. if it works fine..then its your router thats bad.

No i called them and it was them who were having an outage in my area...damn assholes had to get me to the national road runner company just to check it...
