Buckyball is in Google's logo today, the ball replacing the second 'o' ... see http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/g ... oodle.html for more information.

Depending on timezone your local Google might still have it in the logo, it's gone here in Australia but it is still on the UK Google :)
http://www.google.co.uk/

It's no simple algorithm to do what it does (spin depending on how you move it with your cursor from the mouse)...
Code: Select all
<script>(function(){var a=true,c=false; try{if(!google.doodle)google.doodle={};var aa=-1/14,ba=Math.PI/180,d=(1+Math.sqrt(5))/2,e=1/3,k=2/3,l=d/3,n=2*l,o=[[-k,-e-n,-l],[-e,-k-l,-n],[e,-k-l,-n],[k,-e-n,-l],[e,-d,0],[-e,-d,0],[-l,-k,-e-n],[-n,-e,-k-l],[-e-n,-l,-k],[-k-l,-n,-e],[-k,-e-n,l],[-e,-k-l,n],[e,-k-l,n] etc etc ......

Google homepage today is just.... nuts! Very clever. Move your cursor towards "Google" (made up of coloured balls) and you "push" all the balls away! :)
If you don't ask...

Google are becoming really sophisticated with their logo, the John Lennon one is an embedded Youtube video if you click the play button.

Personally, I don't love it. They made no effort to make it look like the word "Google" as they usually do. How the f*.* do you pronounce Gmmxle?

The interactive logo (outline only, shown here) is terrific, enough to make you feel seasick :)

Today is also Safer Internet Day 2011.
