Re: Wolfram|Alpha - The New Search Engine

It's fun to ask the engine questions that you don't think it can answer.

There's a pretty good list here:

Re: DTV for PC?

I've been using MythTV for about a year. The only charge is to the company that provides the show listings (~$20/yr). Any computer running Linux and a TV Tuner card for around $50 should be able to get it going. It has a web interface and a Flash player so I can access my recorded shows from outside...

Re: Build an enhanced Dongle !

I have a few TV dishes in my shed that I've been wanting to try this with, but I haven't come upon a pair of cheap wifi dongles for the experiment.

86% male for me. Sent it to the "About" page on a friends site and it picked her out too.

On the other hand, the intro page for my photos came out to 78% woman. I guess the word "wedding" really threw it off.

Re: What was your first home computer and game?

From time to time I'll dip back into childhood for an old game. I like Zsnes, PCSX, and a few NES emulators. I actually used PCSX to play my retail copy of Castlevania recently on my laptop.

Re: What game are you playing on your PC?

I often play with PySol. It's a Solitaire game with dozens of modes, but I prefer Klondike by Threes. There is a Windows version available, too. http://pygames.sourceforge.net/ OpenArena is a good one. It's a Quake clone with good multiplayer and lots of available levels. I have Tremulous installed,...
