Another test release that Casca might like ;) A new config file, Languages.txt, has been introduced. It gives you MUCH greater ability to customize the language of OCS. Menus and window text can all be customized. A lot easier than taking a hex editor to it ;) If you've ever looked at or created a l...

They're also using BendMX which rather heavily modifies WinMX. ;) So I'd chalk it up to that. Also keep in mind WCS and FXServ also display 3.54 as 3.53. Both versions are basically identical when it comes to chatting. 3.54 fixes the disconnect on secondary bug but that's the only difference as far ...

It's neither actually. 3.53 and 3.54 both identify themselves the same way (as far as chat goes). The only differences between the two in chatting that I'm aware of is that 3.54 fixed a bug with displaying the channel list. By the way.... I have seen that several items use the "Block" word...

(Ouka only mentioned those two specifically, but from the default settings he gave looks like you can add colors to most/all? customizable notice) Add the following if you want to update ...

Are you behind a router? When hosting on my network others on my network can't see my channel on the list but can still join thru the LAN IP. If not did you make sure to go to Channel --> Connect WPN?

If you don't the channel won't list because it's not connected to the WPN.

Test Version Correction test of problem that caused redirecting to fail since WinMX 3.53 was released. Redirecting other than the following commands would act as a usual kick. Please use the following commands when you want redirect. #usercmd redirectto <UserName> <ChannelName> #admincmd /Redirect <...

NupMX Plugin

Nushi has released a new plugin for Nushi Chat called NupMX. It lets you connect and chat on OpenNap chat rooms 8) So for those who use both MX and OpenNap to chat you might find this really useful. To use this plugin go to Window (w) on the menu bar and select NupMX Manager from the drop down list....

First things first, NO the room will stay open whether you're connected to the WPN or not. All the WPN is needed for for hosting is for displaying on the chnnel list. The only way the channel will close is if you exit server.exe You can host hidden channels simply by not connecting to the WPN or dis...

Here's mine.. it's fully translated. Hopefully I didn't miss anything. I left the tooltips untranslated because it's not really nesecary. Hopefully everyone can figure out what the icons mean without them I also removed the 000_00000 that's tacked on to every username so you can choose your own user...

Nushi Chat Lives! (sorta...)

Nushi Chat, the practically forgotten chat client, has been updated :D Version 2.8 is an update of ver. 1.8 It now has a channel list which is downloaded from Nushi's web chat channel list via the ListClient plugin. Okay so it's not spectacular. But I've been using Nushi Chat 1.8 for ages. It's simp...

Use whichever server you're the happiest with. ;) I don't know if other servers have a limit on bans or not because I don't use them. I don't use OCS that much either really. WinMX isn't that interesting anymore for me. Though, in terms of practicality a firewall is a more practical and effective me...

Once an IP is scrolled off the penalty list they're no longer banned. It's also possible the person had a dynamic IP and just rejoined afer changing it. Just remember you can use asterisks to ban entire ranges if someone with a dynamic IP gets annoying. /banip 172.*.*.* will ban 172.0.0.0 thru 172.2...
